"I'm eating a PB&J for lunch. #yum"
Twitter gets a bad rap sometimes, especially if the above post is all that you think Twitter is good for. Sure, there are a lot of people on the 140-character social network posting non-sensical, random and downright obscure things to the network. But as one of the top social networks, and a great way to conduct real-time conversations with your connections, Twitter may be an un-tapped opportunity for you personally, or for your business.
One of the biggest challenges Twitter users experience is the fact that the network, unlike many of the others, is binary in nature. You either follow someone or you don't (0 or 1 in binary-speak), and once you follow someone, ALL of their posts appear in your stream. Once you follow more than a dozen or so people (and they are actively Tweeting), that stream becomes very hard to follow and information can get easily lost.
In today's webinar we'll be talking about ways to filter that "firehose" of posts to ensure that you find what's relevant to you, making it easier to stay engaged and pay attention to what really matters. We'll explore Twitter Lists, how to effectively use hashtags (#awesome) and some free tools that you may want to use to ensure that your time on Twitter is as productive as possible.
