Chances are you've been touched by the "C word" at some point in your life (and if not, the unfortunate reality is that you likely will at some point down the road). Maybe it was a parent, sibling, close friend, coworker or even YOU - but whatever the case when cancer comes knocking nobody is excited about answering the door.
This week's on Free Webinar Wednesdays we're going to share the story of one person's way of dealing with this life-impacting news, and eventual loss of a close friend, Rob Eubank, to the disease. Steve Amedio (and Rob) co-founded All-In to Fight Cancer in 2010 before his passing to help raise awareness (and funds) in the fight against cancer. Responsible for raising over $300,000 in donations in the the past three years since it's creation, this March 12th (ironically, the day of our show) will mark the fourth annual All-In to Fight Cancer Benefit Tournament, a Texas Hold 'Em event at the Fillmore in Charlotte, NC.
Although he's never played the game, Free Webinar Wednesdays co-founder Eric Cook will be attending the event this year That means this week's show will be the first ever "live remote" interview. You see, not only has Eric been touched (and made some major changes in his life) thanks to the "C" word, but while they've been friends since right after college, this will be the first time Eric and Steve have seen each other in 20 years! Like Steve, Eric's also made a commitment to help make a difference in the fight against cancer with his organization, Pedaling with a Purpose.
Join us this week for a "slightly different" focus on this week's show and hear how a couple of "regular guys" have taken steps to help make a difference. Yeah, cancer sucks but there is something that YOU can do about it. Hopefully with this week's show you'll be inspired with your own way of what you can do to make a difference.
