You either love it or you hate it. That's right, we're talking about e-mail. As one of the top three activities on the Internet (with Search being #1 and e-mail and social networking in the #2/#3 spot, depending on which report you read), it's evident that this form of communication isn't going away anytime soon.
But, how can businesses use e-mail more effectively to get their message across to customers and prospects? Did you know that businesses using e-mail effectively are experiencing some of the biggest ROIs for their investment dollars (and time) with e-mail campaigns compared to other forms of advertising, especially when it comes to direct mail? If you're not using e-mail in your business right now, it may be time for you to reconsider your strategy.
Join us for this webinar session where WSI Internet Consultant Eric Cook, one of Free Webinar Wednesdays co-founders, recaps one of the key presentations on e-mail marketing strategeis from WSI's recent Excellence & Innovation conference. You'll learn some of the do's (and don'ts) of e-mail marketing and discover how using an e-mail marketing system can not only increase the chances your e-mail will get delivered, but read by the recipient (and what statistics you'll have at your disposal to effectively follow-up and cultivate the "warm leads" that will result).

Video:
Below is the video that we talked about in today's webinar that we were not able to show in the GoToWebinar session. I wanted to share this as a way to convey the message that it's important that we are reaching people in a relevant way to get our message across. This uses the example of a text message to generate an in-bound e-mail message (subscription) that is then easily sent to all her friends. Give you any ideas???
Be sure to check the Comments section of this entry for additional links and information from today's session. Thanks for attending!
Greetings all...
Thanks again for attending today's presentation on eMail Marketing. I hope that you got a lot out of the presentation and came away with some new ideas.
I wanted to be sure to post the link to my WSI partner site with Constant Contact where you can sign up for a 60-day trial with the service to "kick the tires". I'd be interested in hearing what you think (and be sure to add me to your list so that I get your newsletters).
http://bit.ly/cc-email
*This "bit.ly" address is what's known as a URL snipit service and takes a long, ugly website address and shortens it so that it's easy to e-mail (or post in a Twiter post). Feel free to give it a try at http://bit.ly and see how it works. If you sign up for a free account, you can even track and see how many times your URL is clicked on. Pretty cool!
I also forgot to mention a great tool that CC just added to archive all your past e-mail newsletters and display them on the web. I have a link to my past Internet Minutes (back to early 2008) at the following address.
http://www.poweredbywsi.com/internetminute
As with everything in the CC system, this was very easy to do and in a matter of minutes, I had all of my past issues online for people to read. Feel free to browse and maybe they'll give you some ideas for your newsletter.
See you next week on Free Webinar Wednesdays!
Eric
