Social media is become almost a "given" for many businesses these days, as most now have Facebook pages, Twitter accounts and using a variety of other ways to stay connected. But, what legal obligations (risks) exist for today's business when it comes to social media? Do you know what your employees are doing on social media, are they talking about you (as their employer), your competitors, each other... and do you have any legal right to make sure that it's all positive (or not at all).
When you scratch the surface and ask some of these questions, many businesses respond with "we don't know", which unfortunately may be putting them at risk from a legal perspective. The good news is that for this week's webinar we'll be joined by the founder of Socially Legal Audit™, Deborah Gonzalez, Esq., and she'll share some of the common legal "potholes" that businesses may fall into and what sort of exposure exists if you're not careful. Even if your business already has a policy governing social media and feel confident that you're doing it "right", this session will likely uncover (or at least get you to question) some areas that may be worthwhile of review.
